and customers into the Multicast product suite and environment.
- Guide product vision, tune product marketing, and
provide hands-on technical direction for product development (.Net, SQL,
HTML, JavaScript and Flash).
- Smooth transition of customer base led to 100%
retention while acquiring many new customers.
Veotag, New York, NY 2006-2009
SaaS technology provider of B2B and B2C video technology
& services. Major customers included Astra-Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, Bearing
Point, the Better Business Bureau, Ernst & Young and the University of Pennsylvania.
Founder/President
Developed corporate strategy, and directed product planning / execution,
product design, product development, sales/marketing, accounting /finance,
legal and PR functions for this 40+ employee start-up company.
- Recruited investors, raised $3 million and purchased
assets from another company and built a top-shelf management team to
successfully bring this product to market.
- Aggressively raised working capital through networking,
vendor leads, and participation in VC conferences.

This small consulting firm was launched mainly to help small
to mid-sized companies refine their business plans, realign their businesses,
and launch new software products.
Founder/President
Created and marketed the company’s partnership-based practice and
software products that generated substantial revenue from utilities,
universities and manufacturers. Consulted to turnaround failing companies, managed
software development internally, and participated in board-level decision
making for clients in a variety of industries.
Clients included:
- Veotag: Founded the company, built the management team and
directed product development and refinements. Later purchased and then sold
the business.
- Electra: Electra is a provider of financial services
reconciliation software for banks and investment managers. Initially
engaged as an expert witness, and was later hired to help rebuild and
modernize their software offering. Active member of Electra’s Board of
Directors.
- InfoTech: InfoTech is a provider of telecomm research.
Partnered with company to jointly develop new products, performed business
modeling, and developed tools to help expand sales and broaden market
exposure.
- Instructional Systems Corp: Provider of CRM software to the
call center industry. Engaged to manage a $2 million web-based software project
from concept to marketplace implementation. Invented some of the
underlying optimization technology leading to the “Product of the Year”
award from Call Center News. Former Board of Directors member,
- Financial Performance Corp: Provider of banking and real estate software.
Redefined product requirements through aggressive client and investor
interaction and market research, and successfully turned around a
business-critical software project that had been floundering for 10 years.
- Westergaard Online: Publicly held investor relations firm. Turned
around an SMB reporting company and created a new service and business
model for company’s equity information service. Actions led to a
successful product launch and market-leader status generating yearly sales
of $1+ million. -
- Dun & Bradstreet: Developed an expert system
for risk-analysis, allowing insurance companies and banks to make better
credit decisions faster. ; also developed a software platform allowing
German, French and Italian customers to correctly identify companies in
their markets resulting in over $10 million in incremental revenue.
